Hot Chip, "No Fit State" (2006)
I'm feeling under the weather (etymology: probably nautical, from when seasick passengers or sailors were sent below deck where there was less swaying). I'm sure my colleague in the next office wants to kill me because of the incessant coughing. I would almost welcome it. I'm in no fit shape, I'm in no fit state, I'm in no fit shape, I'm in no fit state, I'm in no fit shape....

Wishing you to get over and above the weather soon...
No fit state is still my favourite track on the new favourite album. So many things to love on that track : the intro, the way both voices work together and the fantastic let's all jump around and play with our synthetisers breakdown at 4.33... I am very addicted

Thank you. Please send virtual chicken soup.
I think you're right about "No Fit State" being the best track. For a while I liked "Just Like We" the best, but it's impossible to not walk around muttering "I'm in no fit state..." like a madwoman, even when one is not ill.

I was hoping that the Sounds' nipples would be hyperlinked to me, but the lovely June Tabor song (thanks!) would do in a pinch. So to speak.

I love my constant typos in other people's commments sections. I can spell, but cannot type!
Hope you are feeling better today (or tonight, as it were).

I had a serious case of bedhead hair from trying to sleep off the illness, but aside from that I'm better, thanks!
